For the longest time I had no idea how to ride a bike. All my brothers would be riding around and having a great time, but for me it was too difficult.
I told myself I had no balance, and that there was a physical reason I couldn’t learn. When all my friends started biking to school, I took rollerblades.
One day my brothers and I were going around our neighborhood selling oranges from the tree in our backyard. It was a hot day, and my older brother was on a bike while my younger brother and I were walking behind with a wagon full of fruit.
After about two hours, my little brother said he felt a little sick, probably from being out in the sun too long. My older brother was worried and wanted to watch him, so he asked me to go back to the house and get water.
I hopped on the bike, rode all the way home and grabbed a bottle of water to bring back.
Sometimes all it takes is a life or death situation to do something incredible.
