A big project is a goal or a life changing thing you can work on for a long period of time (usually more than 15 days). It could be anything: get better at picking up women, write a movie script, compose a classical album, plan a vacation, plan your life out, write a play, just do something that’s more than reading forums and watching online videos. Most people consume, but you’re a creator, so go create. Make something beautiful, master something, win an award. The hardest part is figuring out what the thing is.
What do you want to do in five years?
Who do you want to be?
What can you start today, right now, to get you there?
Actually getting motivation to do this stuff is hard, too. You might feel it: the pull of Reddit, Facebook, or Gmail begging you to check just one more thing, and it feels hard to move away from that, but epiphanies don’t happen during nonstop consumption.
If you want to get your life in order you need to shut down your internet, move the computer to another room and think hard for a few minutes.
